Fallish Mini Album

Got envelopes?  Make a mini scrapbook album.

See that tab?  (above)  It opens the envelope and forms a pocket.  I love that, because I like to keep tickets and receipts, but they are often ugly, and I don't want them on the page.  But, I think in thirty years it might be fun to see what things cost.

Document all of your Thanksgiving traditions with one.  Put favorite recipes in the pockets.  I think this would be a cute format for your December Daily album.  Or a smash book.  Go make one!

Life is Beautiful Album

The cover of this album is clear acrylic.  The rub-on says "Life is Beautiful."

All papers and embellishments are from Little Yellow Bicycle.

Library pocket page- you know I love pockets.

I left the backing on some embellishments so that a larger picture could be placed behind it.

The right side is a clear page.

This means the back side needs to have pieces that cover the same spots.  Fun!

If you recognize this album, you may have gone to Creating Keepsakes University and taken the same class as me.

Life is beautiful-go enjoy it!  And take pictures so you can put them in this album!

Disney Mini (Not Minnie) Album

I finally finished it.  It only took a year.  This is why my New Year's Resolution was "no more mini albums."  But my new studio is going to help me work much faster, right?

I took about a thousand pictures trying to get good ones, but I still don't feel like they came out very well.  I can only do so much with the lighting I have.  I just don't have a room in my house where light pours in.

The thing I love about this album, is it has pockets on every page.  They weren't so fun to cover with paper, but I love tags and this album is perfect for them.  Sadly, I do not think you can get them anymore.  I got this one from Rusty Pickle which was going out of business.

I found these cute journaling cards from KI Memories that were perfect for the colors in this album.

This page was made using mainly the Oliver and Olivia collection by Basic Grey papers.  I wish I could remember who makes the aqua blue letters because I really like them.  They are velvety.  And I could drape myself in velvet.  (Not really-that is a line from Seinfeld. And it is way too hot in Louisiana for any sort of velvet wearing.)

I also used some paper from the Urban Prairie collection.
This paper and the letter stickers were from the June Bug collection (my all-time favorite paper collection ever made.  It is double-sided which I also love).

Most of the ribbons were from the dollar bins at Michael's.

If you happen to go to Epcot Center at Disneyworld, make sure you get some of that delicious Norwegian rice pudding at Akersush.  Or the goat cheese that looked like chocolate.  (If you can't hear sarcasm over the internet, that is me being sarcastic.  If my husband doesn't like it, there is no way I am trying it and he did NOT like it.  Well...maybe he liked the goat cheese, but still, I am not trying it.)

All of the journaling stickers came with the Basic Grey paper collection.  Love that!!

The red glitter letters are by Making Memories and yes, they are real.  (My daughter asked that question about EVERYTHING she saw at Disney.)

I made a yo-yo flower and layered it between prima paper flowers, then stuck a flower pin (by K&Company) in it for the embellishment.

Thanks for looking!!

LOVE mini album

This little mini album was made with a Cosmo Cricket kit.

Love the inside.  Love the big letters.  Love the tags that pull out for pics or journaling.  Love the color scheme that is not just pink and red.  Love the ribbons.  Love the vintage look.

Halloween mini album

Journaling:  I try to write down funny things my daughter says and add it to my pages.

Paper bag albums are super easy to make.  I like them because I can finish one in a day, if I try.  Especially if I use stuff that I already have.  If you have lots of pictures, you can just add more tags.  Some materials are Making Memories.  Paper by Die Cuts with a View

School mini album

Somehow I keep getting the pictures out of order. Sorry!
I pretty much used stuff I already had for this one. I made the frame on the bulletin board page out of balsa wood from Michael's. The "tacks" are small brads. The border was made using scalloped scissors and my old crimper to look like the border that teachers use for classroom bulletin boards. And yes, I cut my kid's class picture-but no one got cut out. This mixed up mini was inspired by Ali Edward's "Evolution" style album.
